Frequently asked questions
The accessories you need will depend on your flooring type and installation method. Most projects require underlay, trims or thresholds, and finishing products like scotia or beading. Adhesives and tools may also be needed for a secure and professional installation.
In most cases, yes. Underlay helps improve comfort underfoot, reduces noise, and can extend the lifespan of your flooring. Some flooring types, like certain LVT or vinyl products, may have built-in underlay or require specific types, so it’s always best to check compatibility.
They help join different floors together and give you a clean edge around the room. Basically, they’re what take your floor from “almost done” to “finished properly.”
Most of our accessories are designed to work with laminate, vinyl, LVT, and wood flooring. If you’re unsure, just check the product details or ask us—we’re happy to help.
Yes—especially underlay. A good quality underlay can make a big difference in reducing sound between rooms or floors.
No, beading will not be required if it is a gluedown/dryback LVT as this can be fitted flush to the skirting boards.
