The Brief

This customer arrived in the store wanting flooring for their entire home, including ground floor, stairs, bedrooms, kitchen and landing space.

The customer really liked the idea of having a patterned carpet on the stairs and landing area to create an interesting and unique look. After looking at the large range of traditional and non-traditional patterned carpets, they decided on a lovely grey and ivory tartan carpet, which flows perfectly over the stairway.

In contrast to the dark tartan chosen for the stairs and landing that customer wanted a light, soft and sumptuous carpet for the bedrooms, but they wanted to make sure that the chosen product would be easy to clean, with having the product in all four bedrooms. After showing the customer the Abingdon Lasting Romance collection, they decided that the colour Truffle was perfect for them, and this range also has the practical advantage of being totally bleach cleanable!

After choosing the flooring for the 1^st floor of the property it was time to decide on what would work best on the ground floor. In keeping with the traditional tartan, the customer thought a warm coloured, rustic and distressed wood, would work perfectly in the kitchen/diner and utility space. The wide and long boards really emphasises the size of this space.
